CHRISTMAS MOMENTS

Well, it's not quite Christmas, but here are some random shots of us getting ready for the fat man's big entrance!

Claire had a Teddy Bear breakfast in kindergarten on their last day of class.

Matthew decorated a gingerbread man cookie for his Pre-K program.

And Stella dons a Santa hat. Very festive.

HERE'S LOOKIN' AT YOU, KID!

Not much to say here... just a baby admiring herself in the mirror!

CHESS CLUB

Claire has joined the school's chess club this year. They meet after school on Fridays, and Claire had her first tournament Saturday, December 6th. She played three games; she lost one and the other two ended in draws. (Not bad for a kindergartener!) The school took home 3 trophies! We are keeping our fingers crossed for a personal trophy in January!

DECORATING THE TREE

Putting up the tree is always so exciting! And this year Stella was right in the middle of everything!

The kids did a great job adding all the ornaments... and Stella has been doing a great job of putting the ornaments back on the tree after she takes them off!

THANKSGIVING

Grandma and Grandpa Doug came for Thanksgiving this year. It was a nice visit. The kids really miss seeing them from month to month, and the grandparents hadn't seen Stella since April.

For Thanksgiving dinner we all went to my parents' house for turkey and all the trimmings! Additional guests included Joe and Joanna, Ginny, and Maynard and Ruth. The weekend was full of love and relaxation... I couldn't ask for more!

PRE-K THANKSGIVING PROGRAM

Each month Matthew has a Pre-K "Program" at his school. November's program had a Thanksgiving theme. The kids had to memorize a line of the story of the first Thanksgiving. Then moms and kids together made place mats and had a potluck lunch. We had lots of fun! Here is Matthew saying his line (I think he and Daisy were supposed to say the line together, but having only one microphone confused all the little guys).

He says: "That first winter was cold and very hard for the Pilgrims. There was not enough food. Many people were sick and did not live through the winter."
